The National Scouting Report came into inception in 1980. Bob Rigney is the man behind the formation of the scouting entity, which was the first college scouting or recruiting organization in the United States. For last three decades, the organization has experienced tremendous success in the United States and abroad. Through the management of Rusty Rigney, Bob Rigney’s son, NSR has achieved tremendous growth.
NSR has provided more than 5000 opportunities for student-athletes to integrate their education with their passion for sports at US colleges and universities. Currently, NSR does not only have operations in the United States but also boasts of recruiting services in Australia and New Zealand.
Formation of NSR Australia
Marco Maisano, a former member of the Australian national team and professional soccer player, founded the National Scouting Report in Australia in 2006. He achieved this through NSR’s connections in South Africa. The inception of NSR Australia emerged from the need to offer all athletes with an equal opportunity to be their ultimate best on and off the playground. Apart from enjoying the abroad experience, the company believes that athletes ought to be provided with an opportunity to play their preferred sport in a competitive, fun and safe surrounding.
Through the hands-on leadership of Marco Maisano, NSR Australia has attained numerous business awards such as Australian Business Award Winner for Innovation and Australian Business Award Winner for Enterprise all in 2014. In 2015, it won the Australian Small Business Champion Awards Finalist. The company also prides itself for the placement of hundreds of Aussie athletes with colleges in the United States.
NSR Australia continues to devote its resources towards providing the ultimate sports promotion for student-athletes of diverse academic and athletic abilities, particularly those willing to play and study in the United States. Consequently, it aids in finding the appropriate balance of sports and education.
